Description
Due to geographic location, the town of Navi Mumbai is home to more than 10+ small wetland ecosystems. Most of these are located close to the Navi Mumbai shoreline of Thane Creek Flamingo Sanctuary. Some of these wetlands are affected by sea tide timings and during low tide, it is a heaven for bird watchers, as the marshy wetland is filled with various migratory shorebirds. Some of the renowned spots among bird watchers are Uran wetlands, Seawoods wetlands and Kharghar wetlands.

Target species expected : Since these are wetland habitats, we would be expecting various migratory shorebirds like sandpipers, godwits, Redshanks, Ruff, Plovers, snipes, ducks, storks and flamingos.
