Jungle Buddies recently organized a forest walk in Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary on October 29th, 2023, after a long gap of 7 months. Tansa is a famous birding hotspot that is known globally for its frequent sightings of Forest Owlet and Malabar Trogon. Since it is located in close proximity to Mumbai city, Tansa is a popular birding destination and our travellers at Jungle Buddies were eager to explore it.

Despite facing a delay of 2 hours due to the late arrival of the train at Atgaon station, we embarked on our adventure in Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary. We climbed hillocks, walked through tall grass, and spotted 2 Forest Owlets and many other resident bird species. It was an incredibly exciting day!
