Jungles Buddies & Birds Of Thane & Raigad District hosted a Back to Basics bird-watching tour at Bhopar plateau, Dombivli on 18 December. The bird walk was a part of free monthly bird walks that BOTRD has been conducting for a decade now, around 20 bird enthusiasts from across various parts of Mumbai joined us for this special bird-watching session.

Back To Basics is a special bird walk, where the focus is learning about bird identification, observing their behaviour and learning about migration patterns. During our walk, we discussed the role of niche habitats and how larks & pipits thrive in their niches, the migration of rosy starlings, the identification of marsh harrier and general discussion about Bhopar as a birding hotspot were the other topics covered during the walk.
