About the birding site:
Satpool Wetlands, which is located on the banks of the River Ulhas, is an ideal place for anyone who is interested in starting birding. The wetlands and the shrublands offer a unique opportunity to spot and photograph various wetland and shrubland species amidst the bustling city of Dombivli. If you’re a bird photography enthusiast, you’ll find this birding hotspot particularly rewarding.
What to Expect?
Wetlands species like Watercock, Grey-headed swamphen, Cinnamon Bittern, Black Bittern, Yellow Bittern, Ruddy-breasted crake and many more.
What is the plan? – 5 July 2026
- Meet Jungle Buddies Expert Mr Prathamesh Desai at KFC, Swaminarayan City, Mothgaon by 7.30 AM.
- Birding in and around wetlands.
- End the tour by 9 AM with a group picture and happy memories with Jungle Buddies.

How to approach the birding site – Private autos are available from Dombivli Station, West Side towards CSMT end, the auto will drop you at Swamninarayan City Main Entry Auto stand, we will meet at KFC, which is opposite Reliance Smart Baazar. The birding site is 10 minutes by walking from here.
