Saswad is known for sightings of the Indian Gazelle (Chinkara), Indian Grey Wolf, Indian Fox, and Indian Hare. Saswad is also a paradise for birdwatchers, with numerous species to be spotted. Grassland species include Indian Courser, Yellow wattled Lapwing, Greater Grey Shrike, Rock-bush Quail, Rain Quail, Greater Short-toed Lark, Indian Eagle-Owl, and Indian Peafowl.
