Description
About: As the sun begins its gentle descent, painting the sky with hues of orange and purple, the forests of Matheran awaken to a different rhythm. Join Jungle Buddies Tours for a special experiential bird walk—Dusk Birding in Matheran Hills—and witness the forest’s enchanting transition as day turns into night.
This unique tour offers a rare opportunity to observe this serene hill station’s crepuscular (active at dawn and dusk) birdlife. As the day birds settle down, a new cast of fascinating species emerges. Imagine the thrill of spotting nocturnal hunters stirring, hearing the distinctive calls of owls echoing through the twilight, and perhaps catching a glimpse of other elusive creatures that become active as darkness approaches.
Matheran’s dense forests, usually alive with the calls of day birds, take on a mystical ambience during dusk. This is the prime time to encounter species that are often hidden during daylight hours. Our experienced guides will lead you through carefully chosen trails, sharing their knowledge of bird calls, behaviour, and the unique ecology of Matheran at this special time.
