About the birding site:

Kopar Wetlands which is located on the banks of River Ulhas is an ideal place for anyone, who is interested in starting birding. The wetlands and the shrublands offer a unique opportunity to spot and photograph various wetland and shrubland species.  If you’re a bird photography enthusiast, you’ll find this region particularly rewarding.

What to Expect?

Shorebirds like Sandpipers, stints, snipes etc. Aquatic warblers such as Paddyfield, Blyths and Indian Reed. Other passerines like prinia, munia, bluethroat etc can also be seen here.

What is the plan?

  • Meet Jungle Buddies Expert Mr Prathamesh Desai at the entry of Juni Dombivli Ganesh Visarjan Ghat, near a large water tank by 7.30 AM.
  • Birding in and around wetlands.
  • End the tour by 9 AM with a group picture and happy memories with Jungle Buddies.
